No tool can tell you whether labor is progressing normally or whether you need care. Your maternity team’s advice always comes first.
When to contact your care team
Call your midwife, doctor or birthplace whenever you are unsure, if your waters break, if you have bleeding, reduced baby movements, severe pain, fever or feel unwell — and follow the instructions they gave you.
